Sacred Heart of Jesus…Pray for us!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary, please pray for us.

First Published: July 3rd, 2011

In republishing this for today’s Solemnity, I also discovered a second writing of mine that has the consecration to the Sacred Heart.  You can go to it HERE...

The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart, morning prayer, can be found on page: 667 in the c.1976 edition of the Christian Prayer.

In the days leading up to the great solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the readings from the Christian Prayer, Week II, are – I thought – mighty timely!

READING: Tuesday, Week II, Evening Prayer: Romans 3: 21-26 (emphasis and extra text added)

The Justice of God has been manifested apart from the law, even though both law AND prophets bear witness to it – that Justice of God which works through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.

[ Both /And = Good Theology… the Law AND the Prophets bear witness to the Justice of God. ]

All men have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God.  All mean are now undeservedly justified by the GIFT of God, through the redemption wrought in Christ Jesus.

[ The Gift = REDEMPTION = by Jesus laying down His life for His Friends ~ Jn 15:13 ]

Through His blood, God made Him the means of expiation for all who believe.  He did so to manifest His own Justice, for the sake of remitting sins committed in the past – to manifest His Justice in the present, by way of forbearance, so that He might be Just and might justify those who believe in Jesus.

[The Blood of Jesus = expiation = all who believe in Him; Blood of Jesus = Justice = Forgiveness of sins, past AND present.   Forbearance – sound familiar? Related to Patience = Gift of the Holy Spirit.]

READING: Wednesday, Morning Prayer, Week II: Romans 8: 35-39 (emphasis and extra text added)

Who will separate us from the love of Christ?  Trial, or distress, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword?

As Scripture says: “For your sake we are being slain all the day long: we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.” [cf. Ps 44:22]

Yet in all this we are more than conquerors because of Him who has loved us

For I am certain that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor powers, neither height nor depth nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God that comes to us in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

The Word of the Lord! … Thanks be to God…

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.  The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of His Messiah come in the flesh. ~CCC§675

The Church will enter the glory of the Kingdom ONLY THROUGH this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in His death and Resurrection (cf. Rev 19: 1-9).  The Kingdom will be fulfilled, then, NOT by A HISTORIC TRIUMPH of the Church…BUT ONLY by GOD’s VICTORY over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause His Bride to come down from heaven (cf. Rev 13:8; 20: 7-10; 21: 2-4).  God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the LAST JUDGMENT after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world (cf. Rev 20:12; 2Peter 3: 12-13). ~CCC§677

Are we alone in this?  Certainly NOT!  Our Blessed Mother will be with her children EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, just as she was every step of Jesus’ Passion and Death.  And where our Blessed Mother is so is her Spouse – the Holy Spirit, giving us direction and comfort.

She Will Hold Your Hand! ~ Mark Mallett

Are you sitting with Me [Jesus] quietly? Are you asking Me to help you become holier? Are you offering Me your will? Or are you serving in the way you desire without willingness to change and adapt when I need you to adapt?

My friends, your life will always be changing. This should not alarm you because I do not change and My love for you does not change. Be at peace. Accept that if you are not open to change then you are not open to becoming holier. All is well and I am holding you very close to Me. ~Monthly Message, June 1, 2012, excerpt – Lay Apostles

—————————————————————————————————————–June 27th

Today we celebrated the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and tomorrow the Feast the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

For an more in-depth reflection on these two occasions, may I recommend  Mark Mallett ‘s writing.

Please take a moment and ready what he writes concerning our Lord’s Sacred Heart and the Solemnity that we have come to know and celebrate.

It IS God’s last attempt to reach us before He is forced to bring upon us purification and judgment for our sins.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Save us!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Please Pray for us!

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy, have mercy, have mercy upon us!

If that weren’t all, a friend of mine has contributed the following…

Thank you Carol and Company…!
