The Great Apostasy…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on July 31, 2014

A button to remember…place it in your pocket.

This view is long, but states almost word for word what I’ve written below. It’s well worth the listen!

Updated: 8/19/12 : We’re in a perilous time when faithful Catholics in this country will be mocked, ridiculed and scorned.  Where once faithful shepherds, bishops and priests alike, will leave the path established by Christ and fall into Satan’s grand deception for the sake of “compromise”.

What’s worse, many faithful Catholics will see this and make the mistake of straying from the path of Christ themselves.  They’ll claim, “This is not the Church I grew up with.”

Much like when liberal theologians and Bishops took over the documents of the Second Vatican Council and interpreted them without reading them – and the exodus of believers were many.

Brothers and Sisters, the Church is not just priests and Bishops, laymen, and Religious.  The Church IS also CHRIST, and WE are His Body and His SPIRIT dwells in us.  Jesus PROMISED us that, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [that is HIS Church]” (cf. Mt 16:18c).

Which means, no matter the follies and errors those in leadership commit…

During the Arian heresy of early 300’s, many bishops believed and preached the idea that Jesus was not God, but created by God.  This was condemned – twice – by the office of the Pope in 323AD and 381AD. And that’s because the office of Peter  is guaranteed by Christ, to uphold the TRUTH  where FAITH and MORALS are concerned (see CCC§891-92).

Final TRUTH, Satan will NEVER be able to conquer and demolish Christ’s Church.

But Christ WILL “prune” His Church for the sake of His Body, and bring them back to Himself and His divine teaching.  To illustrate this, there is a passage in Proverbs that has been foremost on my mind.  Upon reading it more thoroughly, it became quite obvious as to “why”.

Proverbs 3: 1-3, 5-8, 11-12 (emphasis added, [universality] applied)

My [children], do not forget My teaching, but let your heart keep My commandments; for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare will they give you.

Let not loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart…

TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART, and do not rely on your own insight.  In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and He will make straight your paths.

[Current Bishops and Church leaders]

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.  It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

[Christ’s Body]

My [children], DO NOT DESPISE the LORD’S discipline or be weary of HIS REPROOF, for the LORD reproves him who HE LOVES, as a FATHER the son in whom he delights.

Is it any wonder why His words ring true and apply directly to our day? And on that note…

Below is a posting from August in 2011, and now applies even more to today.  So I’m re-posting it! In the days to follow, I’ll be re-posting other writings that are in the same category – really relevant to today.

Take what you read to heart, strengthen your FAITH in Jesus the Christ – the only Son of the Living God, “Who did not deem equality with God something to be grasped at” (Phil 2:6).

Apply to your lives His principles and commands with LOVE, TRUST in HIM, so that you may come through the days ahead in TOTAL UNION with Christ and His Holy Church.

THE GREAT APOSTASY: The Redefinition of Marriage (hence also of the nuclear family, and thus civilization itself !)

Update: 8/24/11  As I visited my site stats, I noticed that many people have visited my post on the Sacred Heart, and so I went and revisited it and found the most wonderful video reminder.  So, as you read this post and when you reach the end, you also will have the opportunity to watch this reminder.  It’s pretty amazing, thanks Mark! 🙂

In my last post I spoke in great length about the Spiritual Desert and its reason for being; what it does for the recipient, and how even our Lord experienced such.  Please take all that I write with a grain of salt, for again, I am no prophet, I just see the signs of the time.

In this post I will touch on the subject of the Great Apostasy  which will accompany the church’s final trial as she continues to follow after her Master into His Passion which will ultimately lead the church into Christ’s Returning Glory…

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.  The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of His Messiah come in the flesh. ~CCC§675

While making are recent visit to the Blessed Sacrament, this was repeated over and over again in my heart…

Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death;  and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. ~Mt 10: 21-22

The Apostle Mark

I was then led to Mark, chapter 4, and all was outlined right before my very eyes as to what the above statement means.  Again, take what I write with a grain of salt, I am no prophet

We begin at verse 12, where Jesus is providing an explanation about the parable He just told concerning a sower and his seeds.

[speaking to His disciples] To you has been given the secret of the Kingdom of God, but for those outside, everything is in parables; so that they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand; lest they should turn again, and be forgiven.

Note: It was not God’s intention to prevent their understanding.  In Matthew’s Gospel, He addresses the matter as, “I speak in parables, because seeing they do not see.”  This was merely a prefigurment of the fulfillment of scripture in the type of death Jesus would endure at the hands of His people (RSV, commentary, Oxford Press, 2004).

…a company of evildoers encircle me; they have pierced my hands and feet– I can count all my bones– they stare and gloat over me; they divide my garments among them,  and for my raiment they cast lots.  But thou, O LORD, be not far off… ~Ps 22: 16c-19a

They “see” but they do not understand; they “hear” but they do not believe.  We today are very much like those during Jesus’ time on earth.  Thus, we too, must be on our guard to make sure we do not turn away from Him who IS LOVE.

The family unit (one man, one woman, and children), is the center of all civilization.  They marry and procreate and teach their children about God, faith, and the world.  Without the family we have chaos…

Mark 4: 1-20

Mark 4: 3-4

“Listen! A sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it…”

“The sower sows the word. And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown; when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word which is sown in them.”

APPLICATION: Those along the path, they “hear” and they “see” but they go on their way as if the words and actions of those who preached the WORD were never there.  A prime example was a video I recently featured thanks to a fellow blogger.  The friar brought Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to a square somewhere in Preston, England, and gave EVERYONE the opportunity to worship Christ.  Many families were present, some knelt while others just looked, whispered to their neighbor, gawked, and then walked on.

Who taught these children to pass by the Prince of Peace and to not even acknowledge Him?  The same families who could also teach their children about Jesus so when they see Him they will worship Him.

Mark 4: 5-6

“Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it had not much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil; and when the sun rose it was scorched, and since it had no root it withered away.”

“And these in like manner are the ones sown upon rocky ground, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away.”

APPLICATION: “Catholic in name only”, they heard the WORD, maybe even received the WORD with great joy in their hearts.  But they did nothing to establish the WORD in their hearts.  Thus no roots were able to take hold and anchor the heart to the LOVE of CHRIST so when the rains come and the winds blow, they’ll simply “jump ship” to save themselves and take their family members with them.

For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.  ~Mt 16:25

but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin,  it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. ~Mt 18:6

Mark 4:7

7 Other seed fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain.

And others are the ones sown among thorns; they are those who hear the word, BUT  the cares of the world, and the delight in riches, and the desire for other things, enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

APPLICATION: Folks here simply care about the “hear and now”, for them there is nothing after, at least none that they can see.  Thus they live to make money and accumulate wealth and happiness because who knows how long they’ve got to live and enjoy their wealth?

“The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

But what of they who profess to believe in Christ?  Who might even been baptized, confirmed, and receiving the Sacraments on a daily or weekly basis?  Are they in danger of falling away from the truth (Apostasy), because they are more focused on living comfortably?  I would venture to say, yes…

And every one who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;  and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.”  ~Mt 7:26-27

A friend of mine recently told me of a mystical experience she had when she was faced with this very temptation, to leave behind Christ for the love of comfort that the world promises to give.  She gave me permission to share her story, and I think it fits every so nicely here:

I stood with Jesus looking at three tables.  On one table were things that gave one comfort and security.  Jesus said to me, “You can have these if you want them.”

We moved to the next table and on this table were things that give financial security.  Jesus said to me, “You have plenty of talent and can obtain these things.  They also are yours if you want them, but…”

Then we went to the last table and on this table stirred a black hole with swirling darkness.  It was devoid of anything good or pleasant.  Jesus said to me, “But, this is the result of your soul if you take what the world offers and reject Me.  This is not what I want for you.  I want better for you.”

The world can only offer false and vain promises, nothing more, and what you’re left with if you choose them is a black hole.

So how can this be prevented?

Mark 4:8

And other seeds fell into good soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

“But those that were sown upon the good soil are the ones who hear the WORD and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

“Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock; and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” ~Mt 7: 24-25

APPLICATION: Those who have their “roots” deep in the rock of Christ’s church; those who cling to her teachings and live their lives in accordance with Faith, Hope, and Love; Those who will withstand the coming persecution, the winds and rains of this world, and do not let go of their faith – even at the cost of their lives – they will bare fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven “thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold”!

They will concentrate their efforts on the Kingdom of God, on doing the tasks He has called them to – no matter how small and insignificant – for the great LOVE of God, His Kingdom, and their neighbor. That is why it is IMPERATIVE to allow God to work through you and to prepare you for the days ahead with a Spiritual Desert Make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters, the persecution for believing in Christ IS upon us.

Where there are sins, there are also divisions, schisms, heresies, and disputes.  Where there is virtue, however, there also are harmony and unity, from which arise the one heart and one soul of all believers. ~Origen, Homily on Ezech 9:1, CCC§817

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. ~Mt. 16:18

St. John Bosco’s Dream

The Two stories Co-inside Beautifully! Check it out…

And leaving the crowd, they took Him with them in the boat, just as He was and other boats were with Him.  And a great storm of wind arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do you not care if we perish?”… And He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?”

…when the Son of man comes, will He find faith on earth?” Lk 18:8b

Christian America: Shattered dreams in a veiled society

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on July 1, 2014

What happens when the Church becomes tied to the State?

What happens when the Church becomes tied to the State?

What is this book?  Why am I featuring it? Who is Catherine Francis?

As many of my regular readers might have figured out by now, the author – Catherine Francis – and I are one and the same.  So naturally I feature the books published by my pen-name.

Catherine is in deference to St. Catherine of Sienna, and Francis is in deference to St. Francis of Assisi. They also were “movers and shakers” in their time. Called by God to reform and rebuild His Holy Church.

Which leads to this book.  I had requested an audience with my diocese auxiliary bishop just to make a quick 30 minute presentation on the fallacy concerning the 501(c)3 that I had learned through a video used to teach about the Constitution of these United States.  I was turned down and asked by the archbishop to put the presentation onto paper.  That’s when the Holy Spirit took over because it’s exactly what He wanted them to say! Mind you, the book is far different from the video presentation, but the message is the same.  The 501(c)3 is a travesty that all Christian churches need to be aware of, but especially the Catholic Church in America.

And to preface a little more, the title was reveled to me back in January of this year and I presented it to my spiritual director – one of my editors – who remarked that the title was a good title and asked me what it was for.  I told him I wasn’t entirely sure, but I was convinced it would be a book with lots of research, and I even thought my spiritual director might assist me with writing it.  Three months later I started writing. Three weeks after that, the book was complete and a copy was on his desk awaiting his expertise.  It was the fastest book I’d ever written.  I love how God works!

What's inside the book!

What’s inside the book!

Now, what is the book about?  It’s main focus is how the Church in America has turned herself over to the State – ie Federal Government – by allowing herself to be controlled through the 501(c)3 and Incorporation – which comes with it. See the IRS Pub 557, p24, of the downloadable Pdf.

If you will then worship me, all this will be yours.

If you will then worship me, all this will be yours.

Really, are you certain?

My research demonstrates quite clearing how once charitable organizations, that held-tight to the teachings of the Magisterium, have compromised in order to receive federal funding (tax-payer money- which all the govt can give) for their “pet projects”.  Projects which often include additional groups that support abortion, euthanasia, population control, etc, etc, etc… Causing the inevitable scandal and confusion for the laity, followed by finger pointing that never focuses on the root-cause of the problem.  Clear and well documented evidence shows that root-cause and makes the solution quite obvious.

For clarity sake, I place my findings at the bottom of every page so the reader doesn’t have to take my word for it, but can look it up for themselves. Mind you, in the case of quoting written material, one must purchase the book(s). But there are many online sources quoted to support my findings for those who like to research on the internet.

As I stated above, everything is well documented and demonstrates how far many of our way-ward bishops have gone, and reiterates why all Catholics must pray for our shepherds. It also reiterates to our shepherds the need to reverse the trend we are currently in. For soon we will find history repeating itself, and King Henry VIII’s England will soon be on our shores and the Church as we know it will be no more in America.

If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? ~Ps 11:3

Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ~Mt 3:10
