A Gentle Reminder…

Morning Prayer...

Update: 9/8/2011  A new writing has come to my attention that gives one another Gentle Reminder as well as a good Head’s Up.  May I highly recommend taking a moment to follow the LINK and read what is contained within.  Pay close attention to the last bit as it echoes our Lord’s words so perfectly, Mt 24: 9-13, 32-33.

Morning Prayer, Tuesday, Week II:

READING:   First Letter of St. Paul to the Thessalonians (1Thes 5:2-6, emphasis added)

[Brothers and Sisters], you know very well that the day of the Lord is coming like a thief in the night.  Just when people are saying, “Peace and security,” ruin will fall on them with the suddenness of pains overtaking a woman in labor, and there will be no escape

You are not in the dark, brothers [and sisters], that the day should catch you off guard, like a thief.  No, all of you are children of light and of day.  We belong neither to darkness nor to night; therefore let us not be asleep like the rest, but awake and sober!

The Word of the Lord…

RESPONSORY:

Lord, listen to my cry; all my trust in is Your promise!

Dawn finds me watching, crying out for You… all my trust is in Your promise.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit… Lord, listen to my cry

INTERCESSIONS:

Let us bless our Savior who enlightens the world by His resurrection.  Let us humbly beg Him:

Keep us, Lord, on Your path…

Lord Jesus, we honor Your resurrection in our morning prayer, the hope of Your glory enlightens our day.

Keep us, Lord, on Your path…

Accept, Lord, our prayers and petitions, as the first-fruits of our day.

Keep us, Lord, on Your path...

Grant that we may progress today in Your LOVE, and that all things may work together for our good and the good of all.

Keep us, Lord, on Your path…

Make our light sine so brightly before men, that seeing our good works they may give Glory to the Father.

Keep us, Lord, on Your path…

OUR FATHER

CLOSING PRAYER(emphasis added):

Lord Jesus Christ, true light of the world, You guide all mankind to salvation.  Give us the courage, strength and grace to build a world of justice and peace, ready for the coming of that Kingdom, where You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

AMEN!

THE GREAT APOSTASY…

A button...

Update: 8/24/11  As I visited my site stats, I noticed that many people have visited my post on the Sacred Heart, and so I went and revisited it and found the most wonderful video reminder.  So, as you read this post and when you reach the end, you also will have the opportunity to watch this reminder.  It’s pretty amazing, thanks Mark! 🙂

In my last post I spoke in great length about the Spiritual Desert and its reason for being; what it does for the recipient, and how even our Lord experienced such.  Please take all that I write with a grain of salt, for again, I am no prophet, I just see the signs of the time.

In this post I will touch on the subject of the Great Apostasy  which will accompany the church’s final trial as she continues to follow after her Master into His Passion which will ultimately lead the church into Christ’s Returning Glory…

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.  The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh. ~CCC§675

While making are recent visit to the Blessed Sacrament, this was repeated over and over again in my heart…  Read More
