For the Servants of Christ…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on January 8, 2011

Taking a brief “side-step” from the current theme of preparing for the days DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF US, I refer to this month’s message from Jesus as given to us by “Anne” the Lay Apostle.

As before, this is only excerpts.  The entirety of the message can be found at: Direction For Our Times

This month’s message reminds all who are in service to Our Lady and her Son, the Returning King, that what we are going through in our lives is ALL PART OF THE DIVINE PLAN…we are NOT required to understand that plan, but WE ARE ASKED to continue with that plan in TOTAL FAITH and TRUST in Our Lord’s mercy.  As He reminds us, the FULL PICTURE is always before Him, so He knows best what is BEST for us!

Monthly Message, January 2011: excerpts [emphasis added]

Have you noticed how much more difficult it is today NOT to turn your back on God?  With our financial stability “going south”, and families facing unemployment and loss of their homes, the belief that God is STILL WITH US becomes something of a challenge:

My friends, do you hear My voice? Can you feel My presence? I want to assure you that I am present. I desire to assure you of this so that you can be confident about the plan I have chosen for your life…Perhaps you are suffering and you wonder why I allow this for you given that you feel you would be more productive without the crosses in your life.

There is a cartoon that demonstrates this frustration in pictures…my priest had mentioned it three times (in different homilies at THREE different Masses) and I finally found the pictures!  I recommend highly opening the link and keeping it only a “tab away” so that you can refer to it throughout this posting.

There are several persons carrying their crosses.  They look heavy for each individual, but still they struggle on…all except on fellow who feels strongly that his cross is too much to bear.  So what does he do?  He cuts his cross down a smidgen.

Consider for a moment what would have happened if I had rejected the cross and went on to preach. What would have remained after My life?

A little further on, that same fellow cuts off some more, and then later just a little bit more.  Guess you could say his burdens were too heavy and not even remotely light…or at least so it seemed…

Consider the absence of the Passion in the faith life that exists today. How can we preach the Gospel if we are unwilling to accept the crosses which inevitably accompany it?

Well, the fellow had his cross cut down pretty good, and it was easier to carry, but the problem became evident when everyone reached a point in their journey that required them to CROSS over a ravine.  No bridges were in sight, the crevice was just a bit too wide to try and jump; and by the looks of it, the crevice seemed a bit too deep to survive if one fell in…

Life is not easy for any person and temptations come to all…I know that you feel temptations against the plan I have arranged for you. Perhaps not today, but on other days, or perhaps you experience this temptation every day.

So, as this fellow contemplated how he was going to get across this chasm, the others who had been walking with their FULL crosses came up to ravine and placed their crosses in such a way as to provide a sort of bridge across…Oddly enough, each Cross stretched from one side to the next, and they were all able to CROSS OVER…all except one…

In order to accurately represent the Kingdom of God to others, we have to be willing to sacrifice, even to death in some cases. The glory of your work is seen in the souls of those whom you have touched directly or those who have been touched by others because you have agreed to My plan.

As the fellow realized his cross, the one he cut down little by little because he refused to carry the burden, was too short to reach, remorse set in and he hung his head in sadness in the realization of his mistake.

Be assured that you can use My strength when you feel weak. You will not always feel conviction but you must live conviction. I will ignite fires of love through you if you do this for Me… My plan for you will bring the greatest benefit to those suffering loneliness and separation from joy. Such sadness!

As Jesus CONSTANTLY reminds us…

In all cases, I am with you. I urge you to believe this and live this truth. When you are finished with your time on earth you will gaze at My kingdom and view the benefits that you brought to it through your service.

Or as Jesus concluded with us in last month’s (December 2010) message…

Suffering passes away and what remains is your offering.

I am returning. I tell you this because it is true and I want you to be prepared and to help others to be prepared.

All is well. The infant King looks out upon a world which craves Him. Bring Me to others, that they may also herald My return.
