Living in the Two Hearts

My Spiritual Insights and Musings

Obama and the anti-church

As we view world events around us, listening very carefully to the Voice of Truth and the voices of falsehood, it should be evident that the designers of this new Eden—the forerunners—are here. They speak of “change” and “hope,” but this is according to a “new order” that pays lip service to God without respect for life from conception to natural death, without regard for the boundaries set over the Tree of Knowledge. The only change they can ultimately bring, then, is not the dawning of hope but the night of death. ~ Mark Mallet, Back to Eden, 3-04-09

Interestingly enough, 3 months later the world’s leading Child Murderer had these words to say regarding that “lip service to God without respect for life…” Notice the similarities of language used by Mr. Obama and those perpetuating a silent evil :

Your class has come of age at a moment of great consequence for our nation and the world – a rare inflection point in history where the size and scope of the challenges before us require that we remake our world to renew its promise; that we align our deepest values and commitments to the demands of a new age.

In short, we must find a way to live together as one human family.

Moreover, no one person, or religion, or nation can meet these challenges alone. Our very survival has never required greater cooperation and understanding among all people from all places than at this moment in history.

That’s when we begin to say, “Maybe we won’t agree on abortion, but we can still agree that this is a heart-wrenching decision for any woman to make, with both moral and spiritual dimensions. [If this is truly what he believes, why then continue the murder of the innocent? – LIP SERVICE]

So let’s work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions by reducing unintended pregnancies, and making adoption more available, and providing care and support for women who do carry their child to term.

So why do our tax dollars now fund the killing of the unborn in foreign countries?  How come this administration has allocated funds to provide the morning after pill to girls of the age 17years WITHOUT parental consent?  Why is it, that FOCA, in its parts continue to pass in the Senate and the House but without any publicity so that no one is aware?

Let’s honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion, and draft a sensible conscience clause, and make sure that all of our health care policies are grounded in clear ethics and sound science, as well as respect for the equality of women.”

[Respect? Telling a woman that her ability to have children is burdensome is respectful?  Which “clear ethics” are we talking about here?  Is it clearly ethical to force someone to perform murder? What part of manipulation of genes and embryonic stem cells is “sound science”? I don’t think sooo…]

Is that why this administration is now in process of taking away the right of consciousness of doctors and nurses that refuse to perform the murder of the unborn because they truly believe it is immoral?

The final bite in the apple comes with Obama’s true lip-service to Our God:

But remember too that the ultimate irony of faith is that it necessarily admits doubt. It is the belief in things not seen. It is beyond our capacity as human beings to know with certainty what God has planned for us or what He asks of us, and those of us who believe must trust that His wisdom is greater than our own.

[Which is all true, God does direct our lives, He does have a plan for us, AND His Wisdom is greater than our own.  But how can a man who has denied the very sanctity of life and has laid no claims to Christianity in his past actions, think that those who have been paying attention would think he’s a really swell guy?]

This doubt should not push us away from our faith. But it should humble us. It should temper our passions, and cause us to be wary of self-righteousness. It should compel us to remain open, and curious, and eager to continue the moral and spiritual debate…

[If you know the TRUTH, that ALL LIFE is sacred from Conception to Natural death, then there is NO DEBATE; not morally or spiritually.  “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” ~ Jn 8:44]

And within our vast democracy, this doubt should remind us to persuade through reason, through an appeal whenever we can to universal rather than parochial principles, and most of all through an abiding example of good works, charity, kindness, and service that moves hearts and minds.

For if there is one law that we can be most certain of, it is the law that binds people of all faiths and no faith together. It is no coincidence that it exists in Christianity and Judaism; in Islam and Hinduism; in Buddhism and humanism. It is, of course, the Golden Rule – the call to treat one another as we wish to be treated.

I did some research into what is commonly called The Golden Rule, and the only sources it was ever applied to was either from a Jewish source or a Pagan source.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us, and Mr. Obama, that:

Some rules apply in every case:

One may never do evil so that good may result from it;

– the Golden Rule: “Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.” (cf. Mt 7:12)

charity always proceeds by way of respect for one’s neighbor and his conscience: “Thus sinning against your brethren and wounding their conscience . . . you sin against Christ.”  Therefore “it is right not to . . . do anything that makes your brother stumble.” ~ CCC1789

The Law of the Gospel requires us to make the decisive choice between “the two ways” and to put into practice the words of the Lord. It is summed up in the Golden Rule, “Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; this is the law and the prophets.”

The entire Law of the Gospel is contained in the “new commandment” of Jesus, to love one another as he has loved us (cf Jn 15:12, 13:34). ~ CCC1970

Seems to me that Lip Service exists all throughout his above statements when the original teachers of the Golden Rule define clearly what that means.  Hmmm, perhaps someone aught to send Mr. Obama a copy of the Catholic Catechism?

Mr Obama continues…

The call to love. To serve. To do what we can to make a difference in the lives of those with whom we share the same brief moment on this Earth.

What I find most annoying is the deifying of our planet earth.  With all the religions of the world receive capital letters, it strikes me as dangerous and stealthy on his part – just using the fair minded words? – of slipping in a religion based on the worship of the earth – or Mother Earth, as the New-Agers like to call it.

Yes, there is a fair amount of Faith necessary to believe in things not seen, but the existence of God IS SEEN in ALL of Creation; and most importantly in US who are MADE in the IMAGE and LIKENESS of God.

The great apostasy witnessed at Notre Dame this past weekend will NOT be the last, I can assure you.  But this brings to mind even more the NEED, the REAL NEED for purification!  Only 24 students refused to attend the ceremony… only 24 students with hearts pure to recognize when the serpent is in their midst.  May God bless each and everyone of them!
