Lord, what does it mean to TRUST in You?…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on October 15, 2011

O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine...

Addition: 10/23/11: With Europe collapsing (both financially and socially), and the United states not far behind in financial collapse and civil unrest (union organized Occupy Wall Street), things are starting to change rapidly!  Even more reason to TRUST in GOD, and that HE IS in charge despite Satan’s level best to make unrest.  Mark’s latest two posts are wonderful reminders of this, as well as what is written below. But I also want to add this morning’s reading in our Sunday Morning Prayer as further proof of God’s LOVE for His people…

READING                                                                                                                                                               Ezekiel 36: 25-28

I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you from all your impurities, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.  I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you, taking from your bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural hearts.  I will put My Spirit within you and make you live by My statutes, careful to observe My decrees.  You shall live in the land I gave your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

The Word of the Lord, ~Thanks be to God!

Yesterday evening, during my Holy Hours (there’s been a significant drop off in the numbers of those willing to sit an hour with the Lord, have you noticed?), I ask my Savior this simple question:

Lord, what DOES it mean to Totally TRUST in YOU?

The answer He gave me involves a biblical reading, some morning prayer, and excerpts from the Monthly Message (emphasis added) for October…oh yes, and some personal words (and as always, take these with a ‘grain of salt’).  He knows I like completeness in answers received. 🙂

Lord, what does it mean to totally TRUST in YOU with financial things?

I hear the prayers of My children asking that I send relief from the sufferings that afflict them and cause them to question their security and even their faith. How often I have to teach mankind that I AM the only true security and that reliance on Me will bring peace and all possible benefit to each man and to the intentions of each man. ~Monthly Message, Oct 2011

When I ask you to give – I WILL provide the funds to cover what was given.  If I do not ask you to give, I might require something else that only YOU can give.

For every situation that I allow you to be in, I WILL provide the funds required; but in MY TIME, not yours.

If the money has not been provided to you AND I have not requested the spending from you – DO NOT buy / purchase / spend because you will have consequences that you alone must face for choosing your own way.

All is well, dear apostles. Does this statement console you, even as you look at the changes occurring in the world? Why do I tell you that all is well when you can see clearly that difficulties have arisen in many areas? ~ Ibid

TRUST IN ME, I WILL PROVIDE you ALL that you NEED.
(editor’s note: Need, not Want – very important)

Lord, what does it mean to totally TRUST in YOU for material things?

You will know when you are relying on yourself because you will be afraid. Consider how I conducted Myself on earth. I trusted the Father and I was gentle, going about My tasks in the day with conviction.~Monthly Message, October 2011

Do the birds of the air lack in beautiful feathers?  Are the flowers in the field naked and uncared for?  Are the trees and plants abandoned and left to fend for themselves, or do they flourish in season?

Well then, if these which I have created receive all that they need from Me, how much MORE will YOU – who were created after My own heart, sharing in My likeness and image – receive from Me? Did I not create YOU out of pure LOVE?

READING: Isaiah 55: 1-3 (Tuesday, Morning Prayer, Week IV)

All you who are thirsty, come to the water!  You who have no money, come, receive grain and eat;  Come, without paying and without cost, drink wine and milk!  Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what fails to satisfy?  Heed me, and you shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare.  Come to me heedfully, listen, that you may have life.  I will renew with you the everlasting covenant, the benefits assured to David.

The Word of the Lord.  Thanks be to God!

If the Father willed it for Me, then I accepted it and saw to it as best I could. When I was rejected, I quietly moved on. When I was accepted, I OFFERED the Father’s LOVE and gave to the fullest extent of the Father’s will. Do the same, beloved ones. Do the same. I AM with you and all is well. ~Monthly Message, October 2011

TRUST IN ME!  I WILL PROVIDE FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS.

Let ME heal you with My LOVE...

Lord, what does it mean to totally TRUST in YOU for Emotional Needs?

Would a father leave his child who is hurt and feeling abandoned?  In the purest of hearts, the child is the very life and breath of the parent.

If you who are evil (cf. Mt 7:11), know how to love and care for your children, HOW MUCH MORE will I, your Father in Heaven, care for you?

Be assured that I will compensate for your weaknesses as I compensate for your beautiful humanity which so endears you to Me. Where you are weak, I AM STRONG. Where you are frail in your humanity, I add My divinity, and what goes out from you is blessed and protected, but only if you are relying on Me. ~Ibid

I will NEVER ABANDON YOU.  You ARE My own and My LOVE for you is UNWAVERING.  Though man might forget his God, I WILL NEVER forget My LOVE for man.

TRUST IN ME!

We must have FAITH...

Malachi 3: 16-22 (note: Mal 4:1-6, are the continuation of chapter 3; emphasis added)

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another; the LORD heeded and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who feared the LORD and thought on His name.

“They shall be Mine, says the LORD of Hosts, My special possession on the day when I act and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.  Then once more you shall distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

“For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

“But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings.  You shall go fourth leaping like calves from the stall.  And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act”, says the Lord of Hosts.

I will protect you from anything that is outside of My will for you and for your work. Will you be overcome? Consider My authority, dear apostles, and do not consider the extent of your weakness. Never be distracted by the strength of your enemy because the enemy’s strength is an illusion and even the illusion is fleeting. ~Monthly Message, October 2011

Isaiah 25: 1-9 (emphasis added)

O Lord Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.

For Thou hast made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the palace of aliens is a city no more, it will never be rebuilt. Therefore strong peoples will glorify Thee; cities of ruthless nations will fear Thee.

For Thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the blast of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall, like heat in a dry place. Thou dost subdue the noise of the aliens; as heat by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.

On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wine on the lees well refined. And He will destroy on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.

He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken.

It will be said on that day, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”

My friends, if there are those remaining who do not understand the extent of My LOVE, then your work is not finished. If there are those remaining who do not understand that JOY is possible, even in suffering, and indeed especially in suffering, then your work is not finished. If there are times when you are afraid, THEN YOU MUST COME TO ME. ~Monthly Message, October 2011

Addition: 10/15/11

READING: 2Peter 3:13-15a                                            Morning Prayer: Saturday, Week IV

What we await are new heavens and a new earth where, according to His promise, the justice of God will reside.  So, beloved, while waiting for this, make every effort to be found without stain or defilement, and at peace in His sight.  Consider that our Lord’s patience is directed toward salvation.

The Word of the Lord… Thanks be to God!

BE NOT AFRAID!

Let nothing trouble you.

Let nothing frighten you.

All is fleeting…God alone is UNCHANGING.

PATIENCE OBTAINS ALL THINGS.

The one who possesses God –

In mind, body, and soul –

LACKS NOTHING.

FOR GOD ALONE SUFFICES!

~St. Teresa of Avila

Do Not Be Afaid…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on September 25, 2009

If you attended daily Mass today, you heard the following reading from the Prophet Haggai, a reading that was chosen to speak DIRECTLY to us, as well…

Haggai 2:1-9

In the second year of Darius the king, in the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet,

2 “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of She-alti-el, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, and say,

3 ‘Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? How do you see it now? Is it not in your sight as nothing?

In North America, we have been measured and weighed, and indeed, have been found wanting. And not just here. Pope Benedict has been warning Europe that to abandon Christ is to abandon their foundations. Australia is also among the westernized nations which have tragically strayed from their roots. And terrible injustices continue to reign in developing countries, including poverty, child prostitution, and genocide. ~Mark Mallet, The Writing on the Wall, May 20, 2009.

4 Yet now take courage, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; take courage, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; take courage, all you people of the land, says the LORD; work, for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts, 5 according to the promise that I made you when you came out of Egypt.

You are chosen by God, not to save yourself, but to be the instrument of salvation for others. Your model is Mary who surrendered herself completely to God thereby becoming a co-operator in redemption—the Co-redemptrix of many. She is a symbol of the Church. What applies to her applies to you. You too are to become a co-redeemer with Christ through your prayers, witness, and suffering. ~Mark Mallet, Smoldering Candle, Feb 26, 2009.

My Spirit abides among you; fear not. 6 For thus says the LORD of hosts: Once again, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land;

26 His voice then shook the earth; but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven.” 27 This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of what is shaken, as of what has been made, in order that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe; 29 for our God is a consuming fire. Heb 12:26-29

7 and I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the LORD of hosts.

“I am preparing you for a new time which will bring you joy because you will serve peacefully [and] in complete trust.”  Monthly Message, “Anne” Lay apostle, Sept 2009

8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts. 9 The latter splendor of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts; and in this place I will give prosperity, says the LORD of hosts.’”

Truly, you are united to heaven. I seek only to instill in you a greater awareness of your unity.~Ibid
