The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches…

Great is the mystery of the faith! The Church professes this mystery in the Apostles’ Creed (Part One) and celebrates it in the sacramental liturgy (Part Two), so that the life of the faithful may be conformed to Christ in the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father (Part Three). This mystery, then, requires that the faithful believe in it, that they celebrate it, and that they live from it in a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. This relationship is prayer.

Blessed Mother Teresa often taught that…

We can’t last even one day without hearing Jesus speak to us of His love for us. If we block Him out then our prayer becomes dead and meditation becomes only thinking.

So the challenge today, that which we need to careful of and vigilant against is:

Be careful of the things that block contact with Jesus.

What are the things that block you? Make a list of the interior things (i.e. worries, life’s past hurts, past mistakes, or even forgiven sins that still plague you) and the exterior things (i.e. grocery lists, errands, appointments, daily responsibilities – phone conversations!) that interfere with daily one-to-one contact with the One who loves and longs for you eternally.

As you come closer to your consecration time, the enemy picks up his activity. Always cling to the Cross of Christ and hold on to the hand of our Blessed Mother. Ask for their help. They WILL assist you. 🙂
