I rejoice in my sufferings… Col 1:24

Updated: 1-19-17

On the 23rd of this month, all who value life, and in particular the life of the unborn, will have the opportunity to pray as a nation AND as a world of Believers united in the TRUTH that: ALL LIFE MATTERS! No matter the age, the intelligence, the circumstance surrounding the human life, ALL of us are made in the IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD(cf Gen 1:26a, 27) , so their life matters!

Therefore, ALL Christians – persons who profess faith in Christ Jesus, need to come together in prayer as we  are embarking in a historic moment in time.  We – the Church – are on the path to Redemption and Salvation as we follow our Lord and Savior into His Passion.  As such, we MUST keep up the PRAYING and not let fear rule the day, if we are to reach our destination – that is the Resurrection which will be proceeded by an era of Peace (Mt 24:13-14) – in one piece; both as a Remnant Few & in the Church Triumphant.

“If My people would humble themselves and pray…”

Please pass this on, this national call for all Christians to pray for the Church and for our Country, as we approach the 23rd; but also for the full year of 2017. Because, when events happen, we must KEEP PRAYING!  Prayer IS our BEST DEFENSE against EVIL!

So what do we need to do? Sit in the “classroom of silence” for just 10 minutes a day – take more time if you want – and ask God to turn YOUR heart back to Him so He may, once again, Bless this Nation that is supposed to be, “Under God, Indivisible” and “with Liberty and Justice for all”…

For those who are familiar with the powerful prayer of the Rosary, I ask you for just ONE Rosary a day – though you can do more, if you want…

“The prayer of the Rosary is a weapon against evil.”~St. Padre Pio

Ever hear of the Battle of Lepanto in 1571?

“The Holy League credited the victory to the Virgin Mary, whose intercession with God they had implored for victory through the use of the Rosary. Andrea Doria had kept a copy of the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe given to him by King Philip II of Spain in his ship’s state room.

Pope Pius V instituted a new Catholic feast day of Our Lady of Victory to commemorate the battle, which is now celebrated by the Catholic Church as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.”

And you know this is true because Satan spends a great deal of time trying to make people afraid of this devotion. The devil tells us lies like, “you’re worshiping Mary”; when in reality, you’re concentrating on the Life of Christ and you are doing so with His mother at your side!  Who knows a son better than a mother? We only worship God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Here’s another reason to PRAY:

This just recently came from three oversees Patriarchs/Bishops who are calling everyone in the Universal Church to “Pray for Pope Francis!” Here are a few of their words and the prayer they are asking the faithful to pray – both in Latin for those who like the official language of the Church and in English for those of us who never learned that language. 🙂

We make this appeal to prayer conscious that our failure to do so would have been a serious omission. Christ, the Truth and the Supreme Shepherd, will judge us when He appears. We ask Him, with humility and confidence, to reward all the shepherds and all the sheep with the imperishable crown of glory (cf. 1 Pet. 5:4).

In the spirit of faith and with filial and devout affection we raise our prayer for Pope Francis:

“Oremus pro Pontifice nostro Francisco: Dominus conservet eum, et vivificet eum, et beatum faciat eum in terra, et non tradat eum in animam inimicorum eius. Tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram aedificabo Ecclesiam Meam, et portae inferi non praevalebunt adversus eam.”

“Let us pray for Francis, our Pontiff: May the Lord protect him, and give him life, and make him blessed on earth, and not deliver him unto his enemies. You are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

Other prayers one can pray are the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Memorare, the Litany of the Saints, or the recent prayer used during our Fortnight for Freedom: the Prayer for Religious Freedom.

And of course there is always the most effective prayer of all: the celebration of the most Holy Mass!

“Once you start praying, please don’t stop.  Remember Moses?  As long as he held up his arms the battle went well.  But when he became tired, he had his family members to help hold up his arms (cf. Exodus 17: 8-13).  When we become tired wouldn’t it be nice to know we have each other for support?”

Support in Prayer is a POWERFUL thing!  And as I’ve said many many times, Prayer can effect change in many situations to be sure, but it also affects a change in us.  The only way this world will ever change is ONE HEART AT A TIME…

“[Y]our King… is the One who is fighting the battles and winning the souls. And the war is for souls, dear apostles.” ~ Lay Apostles, July Monthly Message, 2012, excerpt, emphasis added.

All we have to do is, “ask for help and perseverance”, from our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father and Holy Spirit because Scripture promises that when one…

“Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
~Mt 7:7

Pray always and…

…take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare; for it will come upon all who dwell upon the face of the whole earth.

…watch at all times, PRAYING that you may have the strength  to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. ~Lk 21: 34-36 (emphasis added)

Closing Prayer: Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time: Week II (emphasis added)

Father, in the rising of Your Son death gives birth to new life.  The sufferings He endured restored HOPE to a fallen world.  Let sin NEVER ensnare us with empty promises if passing joy.  Make us one with You always, so that our JOY may be HOLY, and our LOVE may give LIFE.

[T]hrough the obedience of Jesus, Your servant and Your Son, You raised a fallen word.  Free us from sin and bring us the joy that lasts forever.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen!

May the Lord Bless Us, protect us from ALL evil and bring us to EVERLASTING LIFE!  -Amen!

Pray on, dear warriors, PRAY ON!

Ps… here is a bonus prayer, just for you!
