Days of Wisdom…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on November 13, 2009

I address the following to our National Leaders and those who desire to rule the world with their uncontrolled desire for fame and fortune.  And if any reading this should know persons like that, perhaps you would be kind and pass this along to them.  For, vanity is vanity, and all things done by men without God and His Wisdom is the purist vanity of all!

Wisdom 7:22-8:1

The question begins with, “What IS Wisdom?”

Answer: 22 …wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me.

For in her there is a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, clear, unpolluted, distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen, irresistible, 23 beneficent, humane, steadfast, sure, free from anxiety, all-powerful, overseeing all, and penetrating through all spirits that are intelligent and pure and most subtle.

24 For wisdom is more mobile than any motion; because of her pureness she pervades and penetrates all things. 25 For she is a breath of the power of God, and a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty; therefore nothing defiled gains entrance into her.

26 For she is a reflection of eternal light, a spotless mirror of the working of God, and an image of His goodness. 27 Though she is but one, she can do all things, and while remaining in herself, she renews all things; in every generation she passes into holy souls and makes them friends of God, and prophets;

28 for God loves nothing so much as the man who lives with wisdom. 29 For she is more beautiful than the sun, and excels every constellation of the stars. Compared with the light she is found to be superior, 30 for it is succeeded by the night,  but against wisdom evil does not prevail.

8:1 She reaches mightily from one end of the earth to the other, and she orders all things well.

Wisdom 13:1-9

For all men who were ignorant of God were foolish by nature; and they were unable from the good things that are seen to know Him who exists, nor did they recognize the craftsman while paying heed to His works; 2 but they supposed that either fire or wind or swift air, or the circle of the stars, or turbulent water, of the luminaries of heaven were the gods that rule the world.

New Agers all the way!  Horoscopes, fortune telling, pagan worship of idols and many gods…Gosh, does this sound familiar?  Upcoming film: 2012…Economic push for globalization… etc

Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. —U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom, 1913

Today, these “secret” voices now speak openly in favor of reducing the world’s populations, of forcing sterilization, of eliminating or facilitating the death of the “unwanted” or those who do not want to live. In a word, the chastisements coming upon the world are man-made—the seals of Revelation (6:3-8)—orchestrated war, economic collapse, pandemics and famine. Yes, orchestrated~Mark Mallett, Evil, Too, has a Name

3 If through delight in the beauty of these things men assumed them to be gods, let them know how much better than these is their Lord, for the author of beauty created them.

4 And if men were amazed at their power and working, let them perceive from them how much more powerful is He who formed them. 5 For from the greatness and beauty of created things comes a corresponding perception of their Creator.

6 Yet these men are little to be blamed, for perhaps they go astray while seeking God and desiring to find Him. 7 For as they live among His works they keep searching, and they trust in what they see, because the things that are seen are beautiful.

Wait a minute…don’t get cocky…Wisdom is not yet done addressing you!

8 Yet again, not even they are to be excused; 9 for [IF] they had the power to know so much that they could investigate the world, how did they fail to find the Lord of these things?

Yes, how DID you fail to see God as you marveled in the beauty of creation… As you attempted (and failed) to manipulate creation… as you have done every tactic in the book to try and “save” creation (Global warming alarmists)?

How could you possibly MISS the BIGGER PICTURE right in front of your small noses?

Then the LORD answered…: 2 “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up your loins like a man, I will question you, and you shall declare to me. 4 Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements–surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone,…12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place, 13 that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

31 “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, or loose the cords of Orion? 32 Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children? 33 Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule on the earth? 34 “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that a flood of waters may cover you? 35 Can you send forth lightnings, that they may go and say to you, ‘Here we are? 36 Who has put wisdom in the clouds, or given understanding to the mists? ~Job 38: 2-6, 12-13, 31-36

May I recommend to you the following course of action: Be humble as Job was humble, repent, and reply in humility:

Job answered the LORD: 2 “I know that Thou canst do all things, and that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted. 3 ‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4 ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you declare to me.’ 5 I had heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees Thee; 6 therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” ~Job 42:2-6
