Ever Find Yourself…

Posted by Anne Elizabeth on June 26, 2009

…working through your day only to realize that the day has passed and you are now into your evening?  The days ARE passing faster than ever before – too many people I have come in contact with have commented on that reality for me to think : it’s “just me”.  With all that is going on it’s no wonder.  Again, God is reaching out to us, but ESPECIALLY in the Daily Mass, and even more importantly, in today’s Gospel reading.

Today’s Gospel reading came from St. Matthew, and it kind of spoke to me during the homily, it said,

We are all Lepers, diseased within our members, calling out to Christ for healing within our souls. But our voices are weakening with all the bombardment from the enemy.  So we shout even louder, “Jesus!  If You will it, You can heal me!”

Jesus HAS willed to heal us.  He has given us every possible tool, every possible access, every possible opportunity to receive Him and BE HEALED.

Just recently, plans for travel to my “home state” were cancled due to complications.  But I have a suspicion there was more there than just complications.  Recently I’ve looked at the pages being viewed and realized, HEALING comes from Christ ALONE, and yet, He often uses many different sources to reach out to those in need of healing.  I need to get to it and finish something He began.

This brings me to my purpose in making this Post… though to be honest, I had no real idea until this very moment EXACTLY what God had in mind.  Healing.  Not just for me, but for those involved in the complicated problems existing with the above mentioned trip.

Thus shall I do: I will continue and conclude, over the next however-long-it-takes, to finish my Return Home series.  The next installments won’t be easy, but perhaps they will encourage others to look seriously into their own lives and recognize their need for HEALING.  Perhaps even a conversion or two (or three or how many God wants…) will come about as a result.  Whatever God desires, HIS Will, not mine, BE DONE!

When He came down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him; 2 and behold, a leper came to Him and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You will, You can make me clean.” 3 And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to any one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to the people.” ~Mt 8:1-4
